How would you ship a motherboard?

So I have the CPU socket protector, and I have a bunch of anti static bags but...

How should I go about protecting the little pointy fan headers and all those?

And whatever the pins are on the back of the board?

I have a ton of bubble wrap of all different sizes but that kinda defeats the purpose of the anti-static bag right?

I usually go overboard on shipping materials.. Box in a Box and double needed weight but shipping materials are free for me though work. Typically you want 1 to 2 inches of dead space between all sides of what you ship soo..

A 12 × 9.6 Motherboard would fit in a 14x14x 4" with lots of padding or a 13x13x 3" Tightly. Fedex or USPS should have something very similar if not those exact boxes as they are for heavy picture frames and Catalogs so the crush rating is actually 3 times what you need.
Also: They can destroy it better than you think. So make sure you're really doing it properly. It should be fairly tight in the box, marked delicate (for all the good it does) and packed rigid. If you can compress the box, you're doing it wrong.

I learned that lesson the hard way.

No unfortunately I don't have the original box. It was part of my first ever self-build. I save everything nowadays.

I guess I'm going to wrap it in a ton of bubble wrap, in a box, in some more bubble wrap, in another box.

Another question comes up though. So, what's so anti-static about anti-static bags if bubble wrap is also "anti-static" ?
