Sirahs-- I was just wondering... There always seems to be about 5% who know
what they are doing. So tell me, how do you get the answers to things like
games(console commands), spam kill, beefing up existing sytems, and in
general, partying with the 5%. --regards--dennis

If you are using the PC version, to get game console commands, hit the ~ key
to bring up the console. Then, enter "player-> help" without the quotes.
It will bring up a partial list of game console commands.

I have found the most helpful to be "player-> fixme". Basically, if a
player gets stuck, the fixme command will unstick him.

Can I have another word or five? Is it dependant upon how you phrase
the search question? My orgy days are long past, heheh. Not lookin' to
cheat in any way, just add to my eddy-cashun. Spelling is good. Knowledge
is poor. Reached a nice point where I just wanna play a great game like
Morrowind for the visuals, the density of the game and the feedback from
other players and their POV. Don't really care to conquer the world.
My new plan is to reopen the guide book, start at page one, and do every
single thing on every page. Still looking for the 500 GP lantern and the
dirty pillow. Silly me.
This weekend, I plan on buying a new game. I am considering the sequel
to Deus Ex, which was a very good game. GOTY, etc. Any
suggestions? --dennis

I have heard that Invisible War is not a good sequel which is a shame as
I really like the original. I am thinking of getting either the new
Splinter Cell or the new Thief game. I really liked the original two in
the Thief series and hope that the new software company, the same that
does the Deus Ex series, have not messed up the feel of the game.

The Deus Ex sequel I have, and it looks like it could be fun, but only if
you have quite a beefy system, at least 2Ghz CPU and a fairly recent
graphics card. Otherwise, even patched, it's quite a hog.

If you haven't played the og Deus Ex, though, go and buy that right away.
Some of the best gaming I've ever had. The multiple solutions are awesome!
Otherwise, try out Thief II (which I've been playing recently) or just hell,
if you haven't tried it yet, Grand Theft Auto III is one of the most fun
games ever.

The tricky part with the spriggans quest is that
they are numbered 1 to 4 and that they must
be killed in sequence. Kiling spriggan #1
the first time triggers the appearance of
#2. But killing #2 the first time triggers #3
AND #4 almost simultaneously, And the
spriggan near #2 is not #3. Killing them
one by one is the mistake everybody
understandably makes.

'fixme' brings you one move back from
your current position. If you accidentally
steps off a bridge and lands in the
water, it will put you back on the brigde.

My gripe with this quest is that is the ONLY one in the whole series of
games that only has one way to complete it. I never had this problem
with Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, or Tribunal. It is like some one
forgot the philosophy behind the game and decided to make a "trivial"
quest a true killer. In my case it effectively ended my playing of the
game. I keep hoping that they will patch this stupidity.
The first time I tried the quest I completed it with no problems. For
some reason, maybe an unexpected CTD before I had saved I had to redo
the quest. After far too many hours killing far too many spriggans I
finally completed it again, but it had broken my love for the game. I
quit playing shortly thereafter.

Exactly what I mean, but it is not always possible to unstick yourself in
such a way.

Just last night, I was in a bandit cave (the urshikalu burial cave) when I
fell into a small creek. There were some pieces of wood littered about, so
I found I was not able to move. I tried my water walking spell, and found
myself more stuck. I tried levitate, but it didn't work either. I tried
toggling myself back and forth until my clicking fingers were blue, but then
I fell through the bottom of the cave floor into some water
abyss-world.....and I was still unable to move. I opened the console and
used the fixme command. I found myself back in the cave on top of all of
the rubble that had gotten me stuck in the first place. I was able to jump
to safety.

Unfortunately, though, I had used up all of my magic points trying to
levitate and water walk, so the next skeleton champion I encountered gave me
a quick death blow.....but since I saved my game immediately after
unsticking myself, I didn't have to revert to a previously saved game.

Such an occurance has happened to me three times now in my time playing the
game. The first time it happened, it actually temporarily ended my playing.
I had put about 100 hours of actual game time in, and got stuck somewhere
without a decent save to revert back to. I picked the game back up a couple
of months ago, soon found myself in the same predicament, and devoted about
an hours' worth of time learning to fix it.

If you need to know anything about the console game commands, you need to
know the fixme command.

I have heard VERY good things about "Resident Evil". Also, Doom 3 is
coming out soon. I have thief one and two. Is there a thief three? Thief is
a very good game.

I gree with you 1000%! If I hadn't got that console command from an
angel on this site, I would have quit long ago. Whoever dreamed that
Spriggan quest up, should serve some time in the mail room!!!

Thank you so much. I will remember this advice. You sound like a "hard"
player. IE: go through a few keyboards? 🙂 Have written this console
command down, just in case.

so will probably make that my next gaming fix.

Hehe...not hard enough, apparently. This is my third try with the game, and
I have yet to finish it:)
