How2 connect HD to a laptop?

Hello there!

IDE HD of my laptop is just 1.2 GB COMPAQ.
It is too BIG to play around for me, but
the price of HD for a laptop is stupidly
expensive.

I'm told that there is a way connecting a
laptop and external IDE HD of a desktop.

However, i have no idea at all how to do it.

Well, to some computer guru out here,
please HELP!!!!!!

You would be better getting a zip or jaz drive, they are more portable and easier to use, or maybe even a super disk or an orb, depending on what size you want

Western Digital makes a firewire hard drive. I think they're pricey also though.
