How's SONY monitors nowadays ??

hey, i was wondering whats up w/SONY monitors nowadays? do they still hold up to the competition? i ve been getting mixed reports lately, some folks are saying SONY monitors are not quite as good as they used to be quality/realiability wise? i was particularly interested in the 410R model myself (the 19" one), how does it compare to top of the line 19" units from viewsonic/hitachi/samsung etc?? thanks

I was told by my local computer store that Sony have stopped making Trinitron monitors. Is this true? I wanted to buy the 19" Sony G420, but it has dissappered from the price lists of computer stores (here in Australia). So maybe it is true.

Sony along with some other manufacturers are phasing out CRT monitors for LCD instead. CRTs complete death is only a few years away. And if it isn't LCD it will be plasma or something similar.

i second that however 17" LCDs are out of my reach $$ wise at this point 😉
