I've never built a computer and am just wondering you Guy's opinions on what I came up with. Feel free to make changes or upgrades/downgrades where you would see necessary.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Micro Center)

Motherboard: MSI H81M-E33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($44.89 @ OutletPC)

Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($44.49 @ Newegg)

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($51.89 @ OutletPC)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($116.98 @ Newegg)

Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($39.99 @ Newegg)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit) ($86.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $585.21

I'd like to stay around this price range.

That i5 paired with the gtx 750 ti is pretty overkill if all you will be doing is gaming , would recommend investing more in the gpu instead:

What if gaming is less important. I mostly would be running video/photo editing software and many webpages and programs at once. Would the i3 4160 do all that with no lag?
