How's this build

Hey, this is the build I put together with Brent Hale from elitegamingcomputers.com for my budget of 1300 euro's. I'm going to this pc for gaming only and I plan to overclock it to 4 gHz, possibly higher.

CPU - Intel Core i5-3770k (204.90)
Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77-V LE Motherboard 1155 (152.20)
Video Card - Sapphire HD7870 2GB PCI-Express (209.90)
Memory - 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz (54.90)
CPU Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (36.95)
SSD - Crucial m4 Solid State Drive 128gb (101.08)
HDD - Seagate Barracude 1TB Hard Drive (73.09)
PSU- Corsair Builder Series 750W
Case - Phantom 410 Black - midtower
Optical Drive - LiteOn Internal DVD Writer SATA Black 24x (27.89)
Monitor - Dell Professional LED Monitor 23" 1920 x 1080 (213.90)

Are all of these parts compatible and are thereany parts that I can improve while staying withing my budget, or do you actually think this is a very good build?

First off -> i5-3770k doesn't exist

There is a i7-3770k but going off the price I assume you mean the i5-3570k.

Everything is compatible and some decent standard parts. That graphics card should handle most games at high/ultra on that monitor. I would like to see a larger SSD but if your budget doesn't allow it the 64GB will have to do

If you wanted to save some money you don't really need a 750w PSU. A good quality 600W would handle this with ease, even after overclocking.

I would've thought you could squeeze a 670 into a 1300 euro build but maybe not. Guess the expensive monitor is killin it.

Could consider dropping the HDD and getting a 180GB intel (or other) SSD since this is just for gaming. Might even have enough left to go with a 7950.

Sorry for using UK suppliers but you never mentioned where you are from. I believe £916 is just under 1100 Euro.


Changes and reasons why

- More powerful CPU cooler to assist with your overclocking
- Low profile RAM which won't be obstructed by the CPU cooler (this applies to most CPU coolers)
- Larger and faster SSD
- Upgraded the graphics card. Purely because the budget was there to do so...
- Lower wattage PSU but higher build quality.

Well, not much really Think I just underestimated how much 1300 euro is compared to the price you pay for components there.

Don't see anything that would save much other than what I mentioned. Plus, if you really like that monitor it's probably worth it! Otherwise, most any Dell or Asus 21" 1080p LED backlit would be good and save a little.
