I'm willing to build a setup that will run games like Battlefield 3 on Ultra.

HDD : Western Digital WD Green WD30EZRX 3TB IntelliPower SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Graphics Card : Radeon HD 7970
RAM : Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB)
CPU : Intel Core i7 3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4Ghz
Power Supply : OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W

How is it ? And did I miss anything out ?

You cannot use a Intel processor with a AMD socket motherboard. Provide your budget so that a better recommendation can be made.

motherboard and CPU are not compatible. you're looking for an H77/B75 board.

go for an i5-3450 at most. maybe a 3470 if the 3450 isn't in stock. little to no benefit in gaming with an i7 over an i5. if you want to overclock that CPU, grab an i5-3570k with a Z77 motherboard. note as well that there is little to no difference in performance between a $70 and a $300 motherboard, except in their features, and overclocking potential.

PSU - plan out your future upgrades. if you have plans to buy another 7970 to run in CF, you'll likely need 700-750w. otherwise, 600w is fine
