My HP 1102 has fefused my generic toner cartridge after some period of time working perfectly.
The message says "incompatible cartridge" or similar. Looking on the web I couln't fine an easy solution to this one.
Just before giving up I thought I would try selotape over the chip contacts on the cartridge. When I turnes the printer back on, after a lot of blinking lights it all went back to green and is working now.

Just thought this might help some of you.

No, the contacts were working, giving information to the printer "this is a generic cartridge"; the printer would no longer print.
The selotape stopped the printer from reading the chip on the cartridge and the printer stopped flashing orange and went back to green.

Nice!
