Question HP 15-AY Motherboard

A 50 lb speaker fell on my computer. I opened it up and you could see the crack in the motherboard. I replaced the motherboard with 854941-601 and now it keeps shutting down after 5-10 minutes of use. Its also much slower. Will adding more thermal paste fix this? I also plan to install an 500GB SSD and more RAM

Mind sharing the SKU to your laptop and the link to the motherboard you sourced? Adding more thermal paste might be detrimental to your platofrm. In which case, it's best you poarse images of how much thermal paste was used on your cooling assembly.

Adding thermal paste can hurt it? I was going to add an SSD and more RAM to see if that helps
