HP 6047cl laptop w/1tb HD, wanting to "add" an SSD

Hello,

I contacted HP support to find out if I could add an SSD drive to my existing 1TB configuration and was told that my laptop could only handle a maximum of 1TB. Has anyone else configured their HP DV6 to add an SSD and a 1TB HD?
