HP 6720s memory upgrade

Hello All,

I have an old HP Compaq 6720s which has Windows Vista and 1GB ram.

I want to upgrade Ram to 4GB with a single Dimm DDR3 4GB, will that work or will only DDR2 work on this laptop?

Only DDR 2 will work.

Only DDR2 would work. DDR2 and DDR3 are both different fittings. Think of it as putting a phone case on a phone that is a completely different model. I would recommend purchasing two 2X2GB DDR2 sticks, if you would want 4GB of RAM.
