HP 7150 papersize mismatch

I have a hp 7150 printer running on a win xp machine and I recently bought a
pack of 4x6 photopaper to take some christmas pictures.Now, this is a one
year old printer and the warranty just expired a few days ago and has been
printing everything that I have thrown at it until just now.

The problem is whenever I try to print a 4x6 photo I get the papersize
mismatch message but it prints 81/2x11 correctly. So far I have gone thru hp
support and tried their solutions for papersize mismatch and these included
resetting the printer, checking media size, using default setting, making
changes at layout tab, removing and replacing the cartridges and checking
that the photo tray sensor moves when the lever is engaged.

Any ideas as to how to get this printer, printing 4x6 photos again

Have you tried Postcard size? These are usually 100x148mm.
