HP 8300 turned it's self off, now wont turn back on.

I have a HP 8300 SFF I purchased off of Ebay as a refurb unit about 2 months ago. It has worked perfect every since. It has the I7-3770 with 8 gigs of RAM. I added a SSD when I installed windows 10 when i first got it.

Today I installed another 4 gigs of RAM from Amazon http://. It booted up and ran perfect. Showed the full 12 gigs. But after about half an hour it suddenly turned off (was just web browsing), the light on the front flashed red for a split second, beeped and died. Now it wont do anything.

I unplugged the computer, unplugged and re-plugged the cables off the power supply to make sure they are seated. No change. I'm thinking that my power supply died, but not sure how to confirm. I can get another on for about $20 on ebay to check but hate for that to not be the problem.

Any advise on how to go about trouble shooting?
Also, the power supplies in these are a weak point at only 240 watt. If my power supply did die any advise on upgrading? I know that I cant get a different style in the SFF case.

Try this. Disconnect PSU from computer first...

If the PSU doesn't turn on with the paperclip trick, it's dead.
As a tip, ensure the paperclip is metal. Sounds silly, but I've found a lot of plastic ones painted chrome recently >_>

Thanks for the reply. My power supply is not a standard type with that connector. the HP 8300 has different connectors. But, I remembered that my son has the same model computer. I will swap power supplies and see if that fixes it.
