Hi. I recently, turned off my hp pavilion 562 w/ a geforce mmx 440, and plugged in my svideo to enable my flatscreen, and NOW, i cannot boot. I have tried taking out battery, all components, and tried using the onboard video card. ALl i get is black screen. I did however, get it to boot, but the screen had 2 hp emblems and they were discolored. HELP ME PLEASE!

If onboard video got you the same thing, try different RAM first. Since onboard video uses system RAM, bad system RAM can cause issues with it. The only catch may be is that the system also does not work with the nvidia card.

Check the motherboard for any issues such as popped or puffy capacitors. You will probably have to replace the motherboard if things look OK and new RAM did not help.
