Hp Compaq 6300 pro microtower best gpu to upgrade?

So I have the 6300 microtower just want to know if I can upgrade to a gtx 1040/1050/1060 gpu. I don't have a problem buying a new psu for whatever amount of extra watts I need for it.

I have seen this wich shows yes possible but other people elsewhere say no.

If that is the same PC that you have, go for it. The GTX 1050 Ti is the best card available for a SFF PC. I have one in my Optiplex 790 SFF (i5-2400). Plays anything I toss at it at 1080p high to near max settings. Which PSU comes with that HP? Can you link me to it so I can check out the specs?

So I actually have the tower version my dad has the SFF, both have a 320 watt psu I can switch pc's with him if necessary.

I currently have the Zotac Geforce GT 610 Synergy 2GB https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/gt-610-synergy-2gb
and well it's way outdated can't play higher end games without severe lag

If they both have the 320W PSU, you can use the GTX 1050 Ti in either one. Low Profile in the SFF, of course.
