HP Compaq 6730s won't start

Hi I replaced an intel Celeron 2.16 GHz processor to a Intel Duo Core T7500 processor and I read that it was compatible and now my laptop will not start it has a black screen but all the other lights light up when I power it on. The fan isn't running either and I installed it correctly and installed the heatsink back in correctly, what am I doing wrong? Thanks, in regards, Caleb.

try updating the bios. Make sure both CPUs are of the same socket.
