Question HP Compaq 6910p not booting from USB?

I have an HP Compaq 6910p laptop that will not detect or boot from a USB flash drive no matter what I do. I installed windows using a USB on this machine in the past And it worked just fine but I recently installed an SSD to replace the dying HDD and it will not boot or even detect a USB device anymore.

It will just give an error saying the system disc is not the original and that I should replace it. (I can provide a picture of the error if it helps) It is using the F 14 Bios and I need to get this laptop working ASAP. If you have a solution to this issue please get back to me

Is the usb drive being recognised inside a working computer?

the USB works just fine on other computers. it just isn't being recognized by this machine
