recently got the HP compaq elite 8000 ultra slim and i intended to do video editing and some light gaming on it so i put in a low profile graphics card the asus gt 710 as that was all the graphics power i needed but after i put that in it just tipped the computer over the edge the mouse started cutting out and some other issues occurred so i then found out that i needed a new power supply as i wanted to make this a video editing budget machine i do not want to get a new computer.
the current power supply in a 240 watt now comes the main issue i have a core 2 duo only 2 cores not hyper threaded nothing special just 2 cores now as you may know most games need at least 4 cores or hyper threaded ones buy the only cpu i can get with my mother board i a Pentium 4 or a core 2 quad so i really need a upgrade on the power end of things. Now this pc is very small but i do not know why they had the idea to put the power supply on hinges why????????? the dimensions of the power supply are
14.5 cm x 12.5 cm and 5 cm tall
very small i know but if any one knows of a power supply that would fit or a way around this that would be much appreciated
