Hello,
I have got a PC: HP Compaq 8100 Elite with no internal drive. I've read that In manual was a hdd with sata II. I have an old HDD: WD800jb with 39 pins (two rows pins (20+19 pins)).
Is it possible to connect the HDD drive with pins to sata II cable?
Thansk for replay

No, you need to use a sata disk or ssd.

Yes - it exist sata/pata adapters, but I don't know how reliable those are, or if there is much performance drop by using it.

Btw/OT : what are you going to do with that computer? Windows will probably occupy so much space that with only that disk, it's virtually no practical usage for it (when disk start to fill up, the performance tends to drop fast).

You sure you want to spend bucks to buy an adapter to connect a 80GB disk?

Perhaps apply those bucks toward a proper disk.
