Hello,
I would like to upgrade my HP - Compaq Pavilion 15-cs0xxx laptop so it is faster and so I can use Windows 11. The only hardware I need to update for that is the processor. On a PC I would just replace the processor, but I have been reading that this laptops processor is soldered in.

Frist question, can this be unsoldered and a new CPU put in? If so, what is the best CPU to replace the factory one with.

Second question, if the factory CPU cannot be replaced, what is the best motherboard I can replace this one with?

Third, I would like to update the hard drive as well. I think there is a single slot. What is the best upgrade for this? I

Thank you in advance for your help!

2| If you do the calc, you'll notice that you're treading into the cost of a new laptop. I would advise against sourcing another board for the laptop since the port placements can and very well be different from what you have at this moment of time.

3| From my generic search, I see you should be having a 2.5" drive in your laptop. You can replace that with a larger capacity SSD. You should also be able to drop in a larger M.2 SSD.

This might be a good read;

Would be a good idea to pass on what you have storage wise on your laptop.
