The driver must exist on both the client and the server. And if there is no Win10 (or Win7) driver, your only way to use that antique is to keep your Win2k machine on life support, and print from there.

Sorry, but the driver is not included in Windows10, nor is it in HP driver download site!
The printer is an proff quality A3 printer but it is 20 year old.
I'm not the only one with this problem, according to HP forum,Subject: Re: Using Deskjet 1220c with Win10 , but no help there eider.

If the printer is 20 years old and you cannot locate the drivers to it may I make the suggestion that it is time for an upgrade? the technology used in that machine is probably dated and even if it cost $1000 at the time of original purchase that's only a $50 a year investment meaning it has well paid for itself. HP also publishes mean time before failure information for some of their machines which equates to about 12k pages per year at 2k hours powered on per year with a 20k hour life span so you are roughly 10 years over that as well. II think what they are saying is support for this device has stopped.

Thank you, but I don't give up such a well performing printer.
My 1220c works brilliant on my old WIN 2000 NT PC. How about using that WIN 2000 PC as a print server (by sharing the printer)? But I'm not sure which of the two Machines (Win10 or Win 2000) the driver must be associated with.
