Hello,

I have a deskjet 450 that I bought before I went to Iraq in 04. I was over there for two & a half years, came home for a year, and then went back for another two years. So, the printer sat in a box for a number of years. I need the full install disk if anyone out there still has one? If so, is there anyway you could make a copy and send it to me?? It's a great little printer, and I don't want to toss it out for lack of the install cd. Any help would be sincerely appreciated!! My email address is;

It is simple, u don't need CD, u can download the driver for your printer and install it from there.

It's the 450wbt, and I'm using Windows 7 OS. There is no full software install online, or on disk avail from HP any longer. I can & have installed basic drivers, however due to bluetooth compatability issue it will only function intermittently unless I tether it via usb cable (which I really don't have room for). Even when tethered, I have no hp toolbox that came with the full install version which is what I was hoping to find from someone out there. Thanks for trying to help, it's most appreciated..

OK, this is what u need to do...

Install the Windows 7 in-Operating System (in-OS) print driver
When you connect the product to the computer, Windows 7 detects the hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notification lets you know when installation begins and when it is complete. You do not have to download any software or insert the product CD.

Step one: Install the in-OS driver
Follow these steps to install the basic driver in Windows 7.
Turn the product on.
Connect the USB cable to the product, and then to the computer.
Windows 7 detects the hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notification window displays on your computer to let you know when installation is complete.
Your basic Windows 7 driver is now installed.

So, basically connect the printer to the PC, turn it ON and Windows will update the driver for your printer automatically.

That's all needs to be done.
