HP Desktop/Card Reader Stopped Working Suddenly/Windows 7

Not sure what is going on.
I have an HP1747C that runs fine. I updated to Windows 7.
ALL of a sudden card reader stopped working. Doesn't recognize it. I did a system restore to two weeks ago-nothing came up.
I know the card reader is connected because the USB connector that is part of the card is working (recognized my MP3 player)
Any idea how to fix this?

It looks like it went bad. It would be easier to replace it.
