HP Elite 8200 CMT Memory Capacity

My HP Elite 8200 CMT has an I5-2500 processor -which supports 32 GB of RAM. The HP manuals lists all Win7 32 & 64 bit systems, as well as Vista 32 bit. The HP manual says 16 gb total with 4 gb max slots. Does all this apply to 32 bit OS, or 64 bit OS?? Anyone put in an 8gb stick and have it read by the 8200?

32bit OS only use up to 4GB ram.
only 64bit can use more than 4GB.
if the HP manual said it only support 16gb, it mean the motherboard was design/tested for 16GB(4x4GB)
