[SOLVED] hp elitebook 2760p shows the wrong info in bios

hello i have an hp elitebook 2760p and its showing the wrong model in my bios its showing that i have an 8440p which i dont how can i fix the problem was an ebay purchase

A quick and dirty is that the 8440 is physically larger than the 2760, might have an Nvidia GPU, and is otherwise a whole lot the same machine aside from the convertible aspect of the 2760.

If the product doesn't meet your needs or is different from the advertised item (and is an issue for you) take up the buyer protection and return it.

If the BIOS is wrong for the system the seller likely did something they should not have. Sometimes people flash a different BIOS an incorrect BIOS on a system after a motherboard swap, a few times I have seen stolen systems with a flashed BIOS to prevent tracking.
