I have an HP Elitebook 8760w workstation. It has been working great for the past few years until now when it stopped working. The laptop turns on, I can hear the fan running. However the screen doesn’t turn on. I have an external monitor hooked up which also doesn’t turn on. I did some research online and it seems like the videocard may have gone bad. I am not sure what is wrong with the laptop, whether it’s the video card or something else that’s bad.
Has anyone had the same happened with them ? Any DIY or cheap fixes you can recommend? I would like to get it fixed.
