HP Elitebook Folio 9470m Wireless Dropout Issue

Hello everyone,
I have a HP Elitebook Folio 9470m with a Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 Series wireless adapter. The problem is that the wireless signal keeps dropping out multiple times a day and it happens in more than one location. I have tried updating the drivers and uninstalling the NIC and reinstalling it. I also tried changing the power settings so that the wireless adapter is set to "max performance" and so that the "allow this computer to turn off this device" is unchecked/disabled. I don't think it's a network issue as I have another HP Elitebook Folio 9470m with a Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wireless adapter. I should also mention that we have a dual band router/access points and the intel adapter is set to only use the 5GZ band under the wireless adapter properties. With the qualcomm one, there is no option to do this. I am going to try swapping the qualcomm with the intel adapter to see if it makes a difference, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Any help will be appreciated.

I would try a USB WiFi adapter to get around whatever the issue is.

we have numerous 9470's that because of the way the ANTENNA was routed (through the Screen hinge) have these issues and we have to replace the antenna. The wire is actually breaking.
