Product Name: Envy 15t j000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have an Hp Envy 15T J000 laptop.
It was up and running perfectly but then suddenly shutdown with making a small clicking noise.
Now when plugged in with power, the power led won't light up.
The laptop won't boot. No fan spinning, nothing.
I've tried performing hard reset, removing adapter and battery alternatively but this won't help.
I'm running Windows 8.1
The prooduct code is C8P47AAR

Please respond ASAP.

Hi there,

It is definitely a power problem of some sort, The next task is to isolate it. Have you tried a different compatible power adapter?
Are you plugged directly into a wall outlet, or through a power strip? If you haven't yet, try a different electrical outlet.
Is there an LED on the power adapter itself that lights up under power? Some types have them and others do not.

There is going to be some overlap between them, but if you are not getting any sign of power, then it is more likely that the power adapter is faulty.

I post on behalf of HP.
