My HP Enny 23 suddenly stop recognizing keyboards, I've tried quite a few thing to no success and left baffled. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The All in one touchscreen computer is just used for listening to music with my speakers or browsing the internet, the only game I play on it is CDDA.

Odd thing is, is that it only has an issue with keyboards. I have 4 and they all work on my other devices but won't on the Envy. Mice, bluetooth adapters, USB thumb drives all work fine.

I've tried uninstalling keyboard drivers and reinstalling them. Some various registry edit. Windows updates. Finally a complete reinstall of windows and I still have the same issue.

Thank you in advanced for any help.

Solution
fresh install would fix it.

Chances are you restart PC and it wouldn't work again.

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

boot from installer

follow this guide: https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/how-to-do-a-clean-installation-of-windows-10.3170366/

before installing make sure you copied anything off the PC you want to save. It wipes the drive windows is on.

cloud install is really just a reset - https://pureinfotech.com/clean-install-windows-10-reset-this-pc-cloud-download-usb-flash-drive/
resets only wipe C and keep all settings/drivers/user accounts.
Clean installs wipe the entire drive and force PC to start from fresh.

Did keyboard work while you installed windows? or did you use the on screen keyboard?
So as I was making this reply I tried pluging in two keyboards at once. The second one I plugged in now works fine even if I unplug the original.

I think this is a windows issue as the reinstall was done through the cloud reinstall option.. Though I am not as well educated on things further beyond reinstalling windows.

You guys never cease to amaze me, I wouldn't have even questioned it. Thanks, I'll go ahead and do it the right way. I'll report back when the issue is resolved.

Issue resolved, thanks for your help Colif! Windows kept trying to installing cloud version even when I selected the USB installation. I got it eventually to work somehow haha! Thanks again.
