Question HP Envy 5055 no longer does duplex printing automatically ?

For some reason our HP Envy 5055 has decided to do duplex printing in manual mode ONLY. Nothing has changed except for fresh black ink cartridge. It previously did duplex printing automatically. We can find no settings to get it to go back to automatic duplex. A righteous bother when working remotely. What happened? How to fix? HP Community has been silent. HP Support also.

Are you able to generate a status/configuration report for the HP 5055 to check the configuration settings? You may not have changed anything but some update may have....

What software is being used to create the printed documents?

Check the software's printing options. Any configuration settings related to single side, duplex, etc?

Likewise check the remote computer's printing configuration settings.

If multiple remote computers are affected then look for some other common factor - possibly beyond the printer.

Is printing being done, for example, via some template?
