I'm not very experienced when it comes to computer hardware and GPU's etc. I'm trying to add a GPU to my desktop and don't know how to go about it. I have an HP Envy 750-514:

Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz, 3001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
RAM - 12GB
Motherboard - HP 82F1 1.01
PSU - 300w

I'm running on 1600x900 resolution but plan to go to 1080p in the future, no plans on going above that though.

I'm really only doing this because of the release of Halo: the master chief collection on PC, I'm really only looking to run that decently, I'm not looking for ultra graphics. After some research, I think I'm looking for a 2GB GPU but don't really know what's best. I'm not looking to break the bank, I'm trying to spend less than $200, preferably around $100. I'm mostly looking for the recommended GPU's and where to get it from.

I found 2 on the BestBuy website that seemed to be decent but they also seem to good to be true price-wise.

- PNY - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - Black. Selling for $160
-PNY - NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 VERTO 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card - Black. selling for $60

It seems too good to be true for a 2GB GPU selling for $60. Are these GPU's good? and if not, whats a recommendation.

Thank you!

Are you in the USA?

The GT710 is horrible for gaming. It's not even worth $60. Likewise the GTX1050 2GB should be closer to $70 than the $160 it's listed at.

Doing some research on your machine. Stand by. We're going to be looking at a GPU and PSU purchase.

Based on your mobo specs I'm not seeing anything that would jump out and say that the PCIe x16 slot (that the GPU plugs into) isn't capable of the standard 75W, so that's a good sign. There is a 24-pin power connector to the mobo which would signify compatibility with standard ATX power supplies. The lack of dedicated CPU power plug on the mobo is abnormal, but these OEM boards aren't often "standard". I'd be inclined to let that one slide.

Here's the direction I'm...

Here's the direction I'm leaning within your budget:
RX570 4GB = $115 (somewhere around 50-60% faster than the GTX1050 2GB)
EVGA 500W 80+ Gold Efficiency PSU = $56
