I have the HP Envy H8-1445 Desktop PC and I was wondering what graphics card upgrades would be good for it? I'm new to this and desperately lost in it (running Windows 8). It has an AMD FX-8120 processor with an AMD Radeon HD 7450 GPU. The power supply is 460 watts. I would prefer to not upgrade the power supply but if necessary I will. I would like the GPU being able to run more high end games, such as: Skyrim, Tropico 5, Sim City 5 things like that. Thanks in advance.

Solution
to get the most out of it mate, replace your psu - I can find any specs on it but as a rule hp use pretty crap generic stuff.

psu - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438016&cm_re=evga_500w-_-17-438-016-_-Product
gpu -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161442&cm_re=r9_270x-_-14-161-442-_-Product

cant go wrong with the 270 x mate at all - a fairly powerful mid range card

if you wanted to spend less & not buy a psu then the max I would go would probably be a 750ti or a r7 265
r7 265 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150722&cm_re=r7_265-_-14-150-722-_-Product
gtx 750ti - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487025&cm_re=750ti-_-14-487-025-_-Product...

there are other option but theyre your 3 best bamg for buck ones at this present time imo

obviously in order of power 750ti > r7 265 >r9 270x

all decent cards, depends on how much you want to spend ( bear in mind you get 2 free full price game downloads with the r7 265 & 3 with the r9 270x) from the lists here

Jake, I'm interested to know what your solution was? I have the same machine using a 256GB SATA SSD, an EVGA 650gold power supply, WIN10, with the 12GB ram and I really would like to refresh he video card without building a new system. I'm on UEFI Ver. 8.1. Thanks,
