SO i just got a new laptop, the HP Envy, A10 8700p 8gb ram and 1tb hdd.
Basically with any game, for example eve online, i turn and look around with the charger in... it's pretty laggy.
As soon as i unplug the charger the game runs a lot smoother.
Please DO NOT suggest the power options. I have tried every single combination of options inside there and the advanced options and it DOES NOT WORK.
I have set the "plugged in" and "battery power" options to the exact same options and it doesn't make a difference so it is 100% not that.
I have ran Core temp while plugged in and not, but i cant see any real difference...
I have messed around with brightness, the Radeon R6 settings, but there is virtually nothing in there to change.
Nothing is fixing this problem and i really really need an answer because i can't have a laptop than runs faster while not charging... it doesn't make any sense.
I have looked into AmdMsrTweaker and tried turning the turbo clock on with a simple bat file, but that seemed to make no difference, and i don't want to mess about with the clock speeds and volts really, but if need be, and that is the way to fix it, i will happily do so with some help.
Thanks in advance.
