HP G72 120ev - Memory not recognized

Dear Sir,

Yesterday on 21/8/2014 i tried to install on my HP G72 120EV Laptop 2 modules of 4GB each one.
Then, when i pressed the power on my computer did not even start.
I removed the one module of 4GBs and then my laptop started.
My Laptop before had 1x1GB (Slot 1) + 1X2GB (Slot 2) memory.
Basically the first slot cannot recognize more than 1GB memory at the moment. When i tried to put on this slot the 2GB module i had the same problem.

Could you please advise me?

The problem is that my first slot cannot recognize more than 1GB DDR3 ram....I have the latest BIOS Version.
When i put in the first slot 2GB or 4GB ram cannot even open.
