HP G72 no power? Tried different power supply...

HP G72 no power? Tried different power supply... and tried the soft rest where you hold down the power button for 30 seconds. No light comes on either. Would the next step be to replace the power port? Or do the boards usually fry also if something happens with power?

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help identifying the issue.
- First do try booting up the laptop without it's battery and see if it would boot up.
- Next to try is to reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure all RAM are seated properly.
- If these doesn't work and since you've already tried and different AC adapter that means the problem lies in the motherboard itself and replacing it would be the solution.
