HP iPAQ won't connect to MiFi

Hello,
I have an old HP iPAQ hx2495b that I cannot get to connect to my Verizon MIFI4510L wifi modem. Any clues? It will connect to my Linksys home wifi. I am very much a novice when it comes to this stuff.

It's probably too old to be able to communicate with it. If you can change security and speed of the Verizon device, set it to 802.11b and no security, see if that connects. You don't really want to leave it unsecured after testing though.

make sure the router is not set to use only the latest wireless standard.

Usually on the Wireless page of the router you will see a box with Wireless G + N or N Only ect. Choose the one with the lowest in the Alphabet and try again.
