Good day everyone, I just upgraded my HP Pavilion 14 wifi card with a supported one from the manual, and from the hp parts store. But, when i try to boot, the laptop screen goes black and the caps lock key flashes. If i put back the old adapter, everything works fine. Is there a way for me to fix this?

Solution
With the old wireless card in, see if there's a BIOS update available. Could just be an older BIOS that doens't support that card. There's also instances where if the laptop has an AMD or Intel CPU/Chipset, the supported wireless card only applies to one CPU manufacturer, not the other.
