HP Laptop Downgrade To Windows 7

Hey guys i have a hp laptop i recently installed windows 8
from this link
http://www.redmondpie.com/download-windows-8-iso-x86-x64-file-directly-from-microsoft/
I thought that i could use the product key behind the laptop but i realized that it was only for windows 7 home basic
and now i want to go back to windows 7 home basic BUT How??
Can i still use the product key behind the laptop???

Did you make a set of system discs for the original W7 setup? If you did, just use those. If you did not, you can download W7 and use the key on your laptop to make it legitimate.

You might need an HP OEM copy of win 7. That key is for their computers. Try whatever home basic first. If/when that fails you might need to contract HP.
