Hi guy's, I'm really stuck. The WiFi on my laptop suddenly stopped working, it just doesn't recognise the WiFi or Bluetooth at all.

So I started connection through Ethernet cable straight to my router, which worked fine the first night. But since then can no longer find my Router either. The Router (BT home hub 5) recognises the laptop and allows me to connect to public BT internet. And going on home hub management I can see, along with my phone, the laptop has a connection to the Router, but it doesn't find my private network!?

I will add I've searched through all the treads on here and HP support about resetting / uninstalling drivers and making the wlan's visible in driver management. I've read it could possibly be a hardware issue, but . most people talk about the WiFi loss, mine is a loss of both that and LAN neither finding my internet... From hours of trawling I can't find and specific fix to this specific problem. I'm hoping since time has passed on these threads, there is one now?

.. also to add, a system restore results, in the system restore not working, and malwarebytes shows no issues.

Solution
Have you tried connecting directly to a modem rather than a router? (unless yours is a combo one).

And yes it can be a hardware issue. The components could have just gone. It happens. You can try using an external WiFi connection to see if that works for you. They are pretty cheap and connect through your USB port. Or you can look into replacing the internal components.
