HP Laptop Issues

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1245x laptop that will power on but nothing shows up on the screen.
The fan will come on briefly and then the leds for the number lock and caps lock blink once about every 5 seconds. I have been on the HP site for help and have found a range of responses but no solid solutions. I did the hard reset like the HP tech suggested but without success. Several say this is a power supply issue and some say this is a integrated video card issue but at this point nothing has been verified.

Sound's like you should take it into a shop! That's probably what is best!

HP states they will no longer work on this model. This leads me to believe that getting parts may be an issue.

I have further discovered that the isue is with the CPU. If the CPU was replaced would this solve the issueand would it be worth it to get this model laptop fixed.

equal speed intel dual core is faster then that amd as it has only 1meg cache.
any replacement cpu has to be able to use a "s1" socket according to that cpu link.
