Hello,
I have had this issue on other laptops, and fixed it using regedit, but can't remember how to do it :/
I have a Windows 10 HP laptop with 0 screen brightness (literally need to shine a torch on the screen to see anything). It happened after a Windows update. The screen brightness adjustment using F2 and F3 brings up the brightness slider (and moves it) but has no actual effect on the screen brightness. It's almost as if the back light has gone (it may have done, but as I have had the issue before being a software issue, hopefully it's just that).
Any help gratefully received
Many thanks
T
