[SOLVED] HP laptop overheating

I have a HP 14s dr1009tu laptop which at times tends to heat up at one side also the keyboard gets very hot. Is this normal or not?

edit: Model 14s dr1009tu
8gb ram
i5 10th gen(can't remember the exact version)
heating is mostly on the right side

What's the exact model laptop? Yes, often laptops with gaming CPU/GPU can get very hot. It's pretty normal. You can use something like Throttlestop or Intel XTU to undervolt your CPU, and thereby putting less voltage to the CPU, which in turn give less heat.
It's best if you could give us an SKU for your laptop, there's a 4~6 digit alphanumeric code to distinguish your laptop from the rest. Also, Can you use CPU-Z to see what your BIOS version for your laptop's motherboard is? Use HWmonitor to show you your temps when the laptop is being taxed.

Speaking of which, what are you taxing the laptop with? Which version of Windows 10 are you on?
