HP Laser Jet 4L

Hello,I've had a Hp 4L for years and never had a problem until now. The print quality started to look very faded so I replaced the cartage with a new one and that did not fix the problem. The thing that confuses me is when I print a test page directly from the printer by pressing on the blue button located on the top of the printer the test page is perfect? Can anyone out there in Cyber Land help. Thanks, tmobie@aol.com

mirrors and Scanning Lamp are not reflecting images properly. maybe they need cleaning
