We do not want use the letter tray which is empty we want to use the upper tray and when we try to use the upper trya it tells us that thte lower tray is empty. HELP HELP HELP

Did you check the tray to make sure all the stop tabs are in the right locations? Nothing broken or loose? Check the paper sensors, they may be stuck. When you say upper and lower trays, you have 2 main trays installed? Try removing one.
