I recently acquired a HP LaserJet 4+ with a JetDirect card. I plugged
this into my network and I am trying to print to it with no luck.
IP settings are as follow (I am on a 192.168.1.x network)
HOST NAME: Not Specified
CONFIG BY: User Specified
IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.20
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
DEF. GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1
SYSLOG SERVER: Not Specified
TIMEOUT: 90 sec
It says TCP/IP is ready.
I installed the printer as a local printer and createing a TCP/IP port
for it.
I am also not able to ping the printer (should I be able to?)
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? Any sites or documentation out
there that could help?
Thanks in advance
