Can I use an ordinary monitor cable on my above HP Monitor

depends. what is your serial number, product number, and model number? the product and serial numbers will be found on the back, and the model number will be on the front on the bottom right. and also when did you buy this monitor?

unless the particular monitor comes with a special custom cable (like some old crt monitors did) then it uses a standard cable. this is probably either a dvi, vga or hdmi connection on one end and whatever your pc outputs on the other.

all you need to know are what ports you need to connect up.
