Hi there. I bought this laptop and it comes standard with 4GB RAM.
I bought the following:
A-Tech 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz SODIMM 260-Pin PC4-19200 1Rx8 1.2V CL17 Notebook Laptop RAM Computer Memory Upgrade Module
I was originally planning on installing just the new 8 GB by itself. However I realize that my wife's HP Omen gaming laptop has 1 x 8GB and 1 x 4GB for a total of 12GB (came that way from HP).
Would I be able to use the 8GB with the 4GB that the laptop currently has and have 12 gigabytes as well?
If so which one should go in which slot?
And ultimately will I see much of a difference between the 4GB and 12gb?
