So I need a laptop for business purposes, out of these 2 laptops which would give me the best performance?

Well I would get a bigger ssd. Something higher than 128 GB.

That wont last long and the lower the capacity of the ssd, the lower the cache.

I would choose Intel over AMD. the only thing with most laptops is they put a lot of crap on it, and this will slow it down - bloatware

Thank you or the response, Yeah If I keep the HP, I am planning on buying a hard drive caddy with a 120 gb ssd to replace my optic drive. It would run me somewhere around 40 to 50 dollars. Or I could just send them both back and try to get something else. But I am not sure what.

The AMD looks pretty good tho, since it's quad core, the Intel is only dual core.

And it looks like the AMD comes with a 256 GB SSD. The Intel by the looks of it comes with a standard 1 TB hdd.

I dont think it's SATA. But it's 2.3 GHZ. The AMD is 1.8

And the AMD has 2 USB 3 ports, the Intel only has 1

Yeah I am about to put the AMD CPU through a series of software and gaming tests to see its performance. Looks like the AMD can be overclocked more than the intel. At this very moment the thing I really don't like about this Asus is how flimsy the keyboard is. This is my first laptop so I am not use to the norm of things.. but this keyboard depresses every time I push on it. I am guessing that is nothing to be worried about?

I've got them both sitting infront of me. One or both will be going back to amazon haha The only thing holding me to the asus atm is the 1 yr damage warranty. That would cost me $80+ dollars on the HP.

I wouldnt really trust those warranties, most should have 3-4 yrs + use. Even if the shop tells you otherwise

It's like here, some shops expect you to pay $50 + for an extended 3- 4 year warranty. Which is ridiculous

When in fact here in NZ you're covered by the Consumers guarantees act.

If it dies or fails / breaks down (even if it's over a year) the buyer / customer can take it back and either get it fixed for free, or replaced. Even if the shop doesnt like it. Most things these days, should last longer than a year. If it doesnt then it's faulty . End of story

It doesnt matter what it is. you It should last longer than 1 - 2 years. But if you do damage it somehow well that's different.

Yeah in the states I would only get 1 year warranty. The asus comes with an extra 1 yr dmg warranty in case something stupid happened. But I am now thinking about taking both laptops back and getting an acer.
