HP Officejet Pro K5400

Got a K5400 where the Paper jam light is lit. About 3 AM, trying to print a list of doctors, a sheet misfed from the secondary tray, made an awful noise.

I cleared the paper, reset the power, but never could get the thing to recognize the sheet was cleared. Now, I have stepped through all of their options (reset printer, clean rollers, try printing from other program/tray, check paper type), and my only recourse is RMA.

Anybody have other suggestions?

From a quick Google, I think I would return the printer to the retailer and buy a different brand. One review described paper jams as not just a K5400 issue but a Hewlett Packard problem.
