Have found a HP omen 17 laptop with 1070 128gb ssd 1tb HDD a 6700hq CPU 8gb ram 1080p screen. Open box condition 12mth warrenty for £1200 thoughts? I'm aware the ram is a little light

Depends on what prices are for laptops with that video card in your area. SSD is a bit small, but video card and CPU are good specs for gaming.

Thanks mate, laptop prices are pretty high atleast to me, new prices for this model seemed to vary from £1500 to £1900. My only concern now in hardware sense is the RAM but as its gaming and browsing i figure 8 will do for now
